Louisville offers 2014 star shooting guard Isaiah Whitehead

Louisville has offered 2014 Abraham Lincoln (NY) SG Isaiah Whitehead.

Isaiah Whitehead is the next great star out of Brooklyn’s Lincoln High School which is the alma mater of Stephon Marbury, Sebastian Telfair, and most recently Lance Stephenson.  Whitehead has nice size and strength for a guard, which allows him to finish in the paint through contact yet also play physical defense on the other end. The Brooklyn product can score in a variety of ways. He can kill you from deep, beat you off of the dribble with a filthy change of pace, and will stop at the drop of a dime and pull-up from mid-range. The court vision that Isaiah possesses is what sets him apart from most 2-guards, as he can find the open man with ease and has showed that he can be a reliable creator at times. At 6’4, Whitehead has the size and game to play both spots in the backcourt. Whitehead now has offers and/or major interest from: Arizona, Syracuse, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, St. John’s, Rutgers, UCLA, Georgetown, Texas, and Xavier. Many feel that Syracuse leads for his services, but until he officially makes his pledge, expect him to be a hot name in recruiting circles.
