Seton Hall center Kevin Johnson to transfer

Seton Hall center Kevin Johnson will transfer. Johnson, originally from the Los Angeles, CA area, will have three seasons of eligibility remaining after playing just one year with the Pirates.

At 6'9 240 lbs out of William Howard Taft High School in Woodland Hills, CA, Johnson averaged 2.5 points and 2 rebounds in just under 8 minutes per game for Seton Hall as a freshman reserve off the bench. Johnson also missed significant time this year with a knee injury. Johnson was originally recruited in the class of 2011 by Arizona State, Illinois, USC and Texas, prior to his commitment to Seton Hall. Johnson was then ruled academically ineligible and as a result missed the entire 2011-12 season.
