Jerome Seagears Decommits

Jerome Seagears during his time with Rutgers

Earlier this week, Jerome Seagears, the former Rutgers guard, decommitted from Auburn after transferring there following Mike Rice's firing. Seagears intends to return to his native Maryland so that he can be near his family members.

Seagears is a 6'1'' guard who just finished his sophomore campaign at Rutgers averaging 6.5 points and 2.6 assists. A good shooter, Seagears is still emotionally recuperating from the Mike Rice scandal and needs some time with his family. For Auburn and Coach Tony Barbee, they lose a key guard who would have potentially helped to turn around the program.
