Texas transfer McClellan heads to Miami

Former Texas guard Sheldon McClellan, who would have been the Longhorn's leading returning scorer if he had not decided to transfer, is heading to Miami. McClellan averaged 13.5 points per game last season as a sophomore. McClellan will become eligible to play 2 seasons for Miami starting in 2014-15 after sitting out next season due to NCAA transfer policy.

Miami has done well in the transfer market this offseason, as they look to replace most of their minutes and scoring from last year's top 10 team. Former Kansas State point guard Angel Rodriguez and former DePaul power forward Donnavan Kirk have also recently transferred to the Hurricanes.
