Juco transfer Richard Amardi commits to Orgeon

Richard Amardi, a 3-star juco transfer from Indian Hills Community College in Iowa, has committed to Oregon. Amardi, a 6'8 power forward, also considered Kansas State, Arizona State, and Gonzaga among others before committing to the Ducks. Amardi will have one year of eligibility remaining to play at Oregon.

Amardi previously planned to attend Iowa State following a decision in November, but was unceremoniously released from his commitment to the Cyclones by head coach Fred Hoiberg to make a scholarship available for DeAndre Kane, a 6'4 transfer from Marshall who averaged 15 points and 7 assists last year as a guard for the Thundering Herd.
