Power forward Kyle Wiltjer leaving Kentucky

Kyle Wiltjer, Kentucky's 6'10 power forward and SEC Sixth Man of the Year, is leaving Kentucky. Wiltjer averaged over 10 points and 4 rebounds in just under 24 minutes per game for the Wildcats last season as a sophomore.

With one of the best recruiting classes of all time on the way to Lexington, the amount of playing time available for Wiltjer with Kentucky next season was uncertain. A Canadian-American from Portland, OR, Wiltjer will have two years of eligibility remaining to play for his new team, but first will be required to sit out the 2013-14 season due to NCAA transfer policy. Before committing to John Calipari and Kentucky back in 2010, Wiltjer also considered offers from California, Kansas, Gonzaga, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest and Texas.
