Future Recruit for UMass Amherst Men's Lacrosse

UMass Amherst men's lacrosse has become a prominent threat in the past few seasons.  Especially going undefeated in their 2012 regular season.  They lost quite a few key players due to graduation after that 2012 season and are losing a lot more key players as well after this season, including one of their main players Will Manny.  This is a big lost for the UMass Minutemen.  With their recruiting process already underway, UMass already has one future player verbally committed to the team and school.  This is current sophomore in high school John Tierney.   He has already been looked at and considered by other schools like Harvard, Fairfield, Bryant, and many other major lacrosse schools. Tierney however, has decided to verbally commit to UMass.  Tierney attends Wilbraham and Monson Academy and he will graduate from therein 2015.  He plays midfielder for his high school team and for his club teams, Next Level and NESLL.  Tierney looks like he will be a great addition to the team.  He was won several awards including High School Rookie of the Year and was a ESPN Prep Showcase Future Star Watchlist Selection.  Tierney has two more years till graduation and becoming a Minuteman, and I know him and the UMass team can not wait any longer!
