FSU to face VCU in first round of Puerto Rico Tip-Off

Florida State University has announced that the Seminoles will play Virginia Commonwealth University in the first round of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off. Tournament details, bracket, game times, and TV designations were announced on Tuesday.  The first round matchup is scheduled to air Thursday, November 21 at 7:30 EST on ESPNU. The tourney consists of eight teams each playing three games at the Roberto Clemente Coliseo in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The Seminoles will face VCU in the first round and either Long Beach State or 2013 national runner-up Michigan in the second round. Participating teams include Northeastern, Kansas State, Charlotte and Georgetown.

The Seminoles will try to bounce back after a disappointing 2012-2013 season that saw the Noles finish 18-16 and handed a first round exit by Lousiana Tech in the NIT. Junior All-American candidate Okaro White returns for his junior season. The Puerto Rico Tip-Off is owned and operated by ESPN Regional Television (ERT), a subsidiary of ESPN.
