Four Star Wing Jordan Barnett Choose Texas

Class of 2014’s consensus Four Star wing forward, Jordan Barnett verbally committed to the University of Texas this afternoon. Barnett also considered scholarship offers from Florida, Kansas State, Michigan State, Oklahoma State and Stanford. The St. Louis native was regarded as a top-100 prospect nationally by ESPN and Rivals. After an unofficial visit in early June to the University of Michigan's campus, many coaches and scouts were lead to believe he’d suit up for the Wolverines in 2014. But surprisingly, no scholarship was offered to Barnett.

Texas Longhorns finally have a start to their 2014 recruiting class with Thursday's commitment from St. Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers College small forward Jordan Barnett. A 6'7, 180-pounder who plays for the same AAU team that once featured Bradley Beal and Ben McLemore. Barnett was ranked as the top player in Missouri for his class, as well as No. 106 nationally and 28th among all small forwards in the country.
