Miami lands Highly Touted recruit Ja'Quan Newton

Jim Larranaga above, has solidified an outstanding backcourt, but can they fill the shoes that were left behind?
UPDATE:

Ranked 54th overall in the ESPN 100, Neumann-Goretti High’s rising star Ja’Quan Newton, decided to take his talents to Miami. The 2014 6’2 180 lb point guard out of Philadelphia, PA was rumored to be involved in a package deal with other recruits such as Isaiah Whitehead to commit to Syracuse, but it looks as though Miami came out the winner. He will suit up next year for Jim Larranaga and his staff, having big footsteps to follow in, with the departure of Shane Larkin, Durand Scott and Kenny Kadji.

ANALYSIS:

After the Hurricanes had just landed 2014 PG James Palmer out of Washington, DC this past weekend, this backcourt looks to be dangerous. Known as a scorer, Newton would like to make the transition to a true point guard, and Jim Larranaga sure could help him in doing so.
