Indiana offers 2014 Lincoln High's Isaiah Whitehead

After a shocking move two days ago by James Blackmon Jr to decommit from Indiana, the Hoosiers took a big step in the right direction. Just announced on Twitter by Isaiah himself, he has stated that he has received an offer from Indiana. Coming out of Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, New York, this 6’4 195 lb guard has been said to be the most naturally talented power scoring guard in the national class of 2014. Lincoln High is well known for the talent that comes out of there, famously known for NBA superstar Stephon Marbury, his cousin Sebastian Telfair, and rising NBA star Lance Stephenson.

It is good to see some life in the Indiana program, after what I imagine was a confusing and disappointing day they endured yesterday. Blackmon Jr. had been committed to Indiana since 2010, giving the Hoosiers plenty of time to admire his talent. Isaiah Whitehead could possibly help in softening the blow, but he has been rumored to be linked to Ja’Qaun Newton, who recently committed to Miami. Isaiah has already received offers from Syracuse, Kansas, Arizona, UCLA, and Florida. Should be interesting to see where this talented youngster ends up.
