Sources say 2014 Point guard Josh Perkins to choose Gonzaga

Perkins brings leadership and awesome haircuts to the Zags.
UPDATE:

2014 point guard out of Denver, Colorado Josh Perkins, who is attending Huntington Prep for his senior year, is down to Minnesota, Gonzaga and UCLA. But today, multiple sources confirmed he will soon choose Gonzaga. SNY was told by multiple sources, that Perkins will make his decision this Saturday, August 24th. This is a day before his birthday, so this should be a very celebratory weekend for the Perkins. Perkins, one of the nation’s best passers, kept UK in close consideration even though he never received an offer from the Wildcats, who have focused their point-guard recruitment on Dallas’ Emmanuel Mudiay and Minnesota’s Tyus Jones, both of whom are consensus top-five prospects.

ANALYSIS:

This 6’3, 185 lb point guard is rated #25 in his respected 2014 class, and should be a great addition to the Gonzaga program. Perkins is a true point guard that does a good job of making teammates better and has the ability to score with range to the arc. 247Sports national analyst Jerry Meyer said earlier this summer that Perkins is one of the best passers he’s scouted in the last 10 years. Adding to that, he is strong for his size and an athletic point guard that competes on both ends of the floor. He has a terrific motor and plays the game with great urgency and pace.
