Auburn lands La Lumiere's own Sam Logwood

Auburn should be very excited for this upcoming freshmen in 2014.

Auburn head basketball coach Tony Barbee picked up his first commitment for the 2014 recruiting class on Sunday with the pledge of La Porte, Indiana small forward Sam Logwood, Longwood, a 6-foot-6, 200-pound star chose the Tigers during his official visit to Auburn over the weekend, spurning offers Creighton, Mississippi State, Iowa, Bradley, Indiana State and Miami Ohio. Rated as an three star prospect, Logwood is ranked No. 116 overall in the class of 2014 by 247Sports and No. 144 by Rivals. He is also ranked the No. 28 small forward in the nation by 247Sports.


At 6’6, Logwood is an elite athlete who is capable of some serious highlight plays. Also in the last year, he has greatly improved as a shooter, and is somebody who continues to work hard. Auburn had been the leader for Logwood, who is a native of Indianapolis, for a long time, and now he is firmly in the fold, and the Tigers have someone with a ton of potential. Scouts praise his game and have been on record saying “his game will go to the next level of production as his skills continue to be developed".
