Isaiah Whitehead commits to Seton Hall

Isaiah Whitehead, 6'4 shooting guard from Brooklyn, New York, has committed to Seton Hall for 2014. Whitehead also seriously considered offers from St. John's, Minnesota, Indiana and Pitt. Whitehead is ranked 5 stars by Rivals and 4 stars by ESPN. Whitehead's coach at Lincoln High School, Dwayne "Tiny" Morton, is expected to be joining the Seton Hall staff under head coach Kevin Willard. Whitehead joins fellow Brooklyn native shooting guard Khadeen Carrington, power forward Angel Delgado and small forward Ismael Sanogo in Seton Hall's 2014 recruiting class.

Syracuse was not in Whitehead's top 5, but had previously been heavily involved in his recruitment. Interest from the Orange had faded due to their needs at point guard and commitments of other recruits such as Mass Rivals point guard Kaleb Joseph. Whitehead had also earned offers from Louisville, Kentucky, Georgetown, Arizona, UCLA, Florida, Kansas, Rutgers, Iowa State and Xavier.
