New Hampton High’s own Tory Miller commits to Colorado

Tory Miller as shown above, will suit up for the Buffaloes, come the 2014 season for Colorado.

Tory Miller tweeted earlier today, that he will commit to the University of Colorado. The a 6’8, 230 lb power forward from New Hampton, New Hampishere, chose the Buffaloes over Marquette, Iowa and Arizona State. From the hometown of Lee’s Summit, Montana, Miller also held offers from Creighton, Marquette, Minnesota, Missouri State, Nebraska, Penn State, and Wichita State. Miller joins point guard Dominique Collier of Denver East in Colorado’s 2014 class. This three star prospect is ranked #44 at his position contrary to Composite Sports, and #37 by ESPN, for the power forward position.

Miller is a big bodied, post player with a tremendous amount of upside. He does a terrific job of rim running for lay-ups or post up opportunities. In the post, Tory likes to use power moves over his left shoulder to score. He finishes at the rim right now, but once he gets over his knee injury will be able to finish with above the rim dunks. He has good hands and feet for a guy his size. Tory is coming off an ACL injury during his freshman year, but shows that it has not affected his progress as a player. Solid pick up for the Colorado Buffaloes.
