Kansas small forward Nathan Bain commits to Colorado State

Kansas small forward Nathan Bain has committed to Colorado State. The 6'5, 190 lb forward gives Head Coach Larry Eustachy his fifth commitment, first at small forward, for the class of 2014. Bain currently plays his high school ball at Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire, Kansas, a program with a good pedigree when it comes to producing division one basketball players. He plays AAU for MoKan Elite. Bain is rated three stars by 247sports and unranked by Rivals. Making his decision easier is the fact that he had no other scholarship offers.

Nathan Bain's life is full of pop culture references. For one, his last name is the same as the famous villain from the most recent Batman. Secondly, he's from Bel Aire, Kansas, which automatically brings to mind the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air TV series. However, Bain shouldn't just be associated with those things given his skills on a basketball court. Bain is a prototypical small forward that would much rather slash to the basket than settle for a jumpshot. He has excellent leaping ability, terrific awareness for just a high school senior, and nice touch around the rim. With the two small forwards currently on Colorado State's roster being upperclassmen, Bain's services will likely be needed before too long.
