Kansas Jayhawks: The road to a championship

According to the Associated Press Kansas is ranked number 5 overall. They have a tremendous amount of talent, with the top freshman recruits like Andrew Wiggins, Frank Mason, and Wayne Seldon Jr, they are going to be serious competition come March. With the recent wins over Duke in the State Farm Classic and Towson, Kansas is looking unstoppable.
 Only sixteen seconds into the game Andrew Wiggins he already had 5 points with a jumper then a dunk. In the last minutes of the game he was able to get six points which furthered their lead over Duke. Although he was in foul trouble early in the first half he was able to get 22 points and 1 block. During the Towson game Wiggins ended the night with 16 points and 7 rebounds.
 Mason and Seldon Jr. closed the night out with 15 points each. Mason really showed his potential with going 11-12 from the free throw line and also having 2 steals. Seldon contributed 4 assists. In the win over Towson Seldon had 12 points.
 Sophomore forward Perry Ellis had an amazing night with an all time best of 24 points and 9 rebounds. He also had 3 steals and 2 assists. He was one rebound away from receiving his second double-double. During the Towson game Ellis produced 10 points. Having Ellis and Wiggins is a major threat to other teams.
 It’s going to be an exciting season to see how these young players develop and how they grow into their role on this team. They have a lot to learn still and maturing to do which will only make them better. Although they are able to make plays and scores they need to be disciplined with their fouling.
