2015’s Antonio Blakeney’s Stock Rising

Antonio Blakeney shown above, is receiving a lot of interest from big name programs in the nation.

Antonio Blakeney from Sarasota, Florida used a strong spring AAU period to raise his stock in the eyes of college coaches. Playing alongside other talented players on the E1T1 16 and under team, many new schools stepped forward with offers while a few more are keeping close contact and could be close to extending tenders. Evan Daniels announced today on Twitter: Rick Pitino, Roy Williams, Billy Donovan, Donnie Jones, Travis Ford & Leonard Hamilton watched Antonio Blakeney on Saturday, per Blakeney. Those are some big time coaches, and it seems as if Blakeney’s stock continues to rise.  Many sources have linked Blakeney and high school teammate Alex Owens of Cardinal Mooney as a “package deal”. Alex Owens had previously committed to UCF earlier this year, before decommitting, and opening back up his recruitment. Should be interesting to see if these two, due in fact commit to the same programs.

Blakeney has held offers from many big name schools like Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Kansas, Marquette, Miami, Louisville, to name a few. He is rated as a four star prospect in the 2015 class and ranked #56 in the nation by Blakeney is a terrific scoring combination guard that can score in a variety of ways. He can help at the point, rebounds well when playing off the ball and can defend both guard positions as well. The sky is the limit on how good Blakeney can become if he continues to improve. He upside is tremendous.
