West beats East 102-98 in Jordan Brand Classic

In a national showcase of the top high school basketball talent from the class of 2013, the West All-Stars won the 12th edition of the Jordan Brand Classic over the East 102-98. Kentucky commit PF Julius Randle had 19 for the West, and won co-MVP honors along with Duke commit SF Jabari Parker, who scored 16 for the East.

ANALYSIS:

SF Andrew Wiggins, the top overall prospect in the class of 2013 who remains unsigned as a recruit, had 19 points for the West to lead all scorers along with Randle. Florida State, where both of his parents were student-athletes, and Kentucky are leading contenders to land Wiggins. Washington bound Nigel Williams-Goss delivered the game winning 3-point play for the West, finishing with 17 points and 4 assists. Tyler Ennis, expected to take over the PG spot as a freshman for Syracuse next year following the early departure of Michael Carter-Williams to the NBA, added 14 points, 6 dimes and 5 boards for the East.
