Class of 2015 Point Guard Tookie Brown Commits to Mississippi State

Class of 2015 point guard Tookie Brown has committed to Rich Ray and the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The 5'10, 170 lb point guard currently plays his high school ball at Morgan County High School in Madison, Georgia. He is rated three stars on Rivals, 247sports, and Brown receiving interest from Miami, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and Clemson.

Mississippi State Head Coach Rick Ray is getting the program headed in the right direction by hitting the recruiting trail hard in this his second year at the helm. Tookie Brown adds balance to the Bulldogs 2015 class by adding a point guard in the mix with a shooting guard and power forward already committed. Brown's doing big things at Morgan County High School this season, averaging 25.6 points per game and leading his team to a 15-4 record so far. Brown will have played with and among other division one talent before he even steps onto campus in Starkville, Mississippi. His partner in terrorizing the opposition at Morgan County, C.J. Turman, is a class of 2014 recruit that is committed to Tennessee. With Mississippi State's starting point guard a junior in Trivante Bloodman, Brown will likely have a chance to break into the starting lineup his freshmen year. If he fails to break into the starting lineup, he could play a key role as the backup point guard in the sixth man role. Brown is a physical point guard with a scorers mentality. Via multiple reports, Brown's relationship with Coach Ray was the deciding factor when it came down to choosing a school.
