JUCO All-American Algie Key commits to Alabama


Algie Key, a 6’4” combo guard from Barton Community College (Great Bend, KS), committed to Alabama today.


Key, a two-time junior college All-American, assaulted the Barton record books in his two seasons, leaving the program atop the chart for career free throws attempted (536) and made (371). He also finished his career fourth on the all-time list in scoring (1214 points) and assists (315). Playing in sixty-seven games as a Cougar, Key recorded one triple-double, thirteen double-doubles, and had twenty-seven games of scoring twenty or more points including six games reaching the thirty-point mark. Key canceled his upcoming visit to Georgia before committing this afternoon to Alabama and head coach Anthony Grant.
