Myles Turner commits to Texas

Myles Turner, the highly rated center out of Trinity High School in Euless TX, has committed to Texas over Kansas. Turner also considered offers from Duke, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, SMU, Arizona, Texas A&M, Louisville and Kentucky. Turner joins small forward Jordan Barnett and junior college transfer power forward Obinna Oleka in the Longhorns' 2014 recruiting class.


At 7 foot 240 lbs from Bedford, Texas, Turner was the last remaining 5 star player in this year's senior class available to help college basketball teams for next season. Additional offers came from North Carolina, UConn, NC State, Creighton, Miami, Stanford, Marquette, Oregon, Arkansas, Georgetown, Indiana, Vanderbilt, Kansas State, UNLV, Oklahoma, Baylor, Rice, TCU, Oregon State, Houston, North Texas and more.
