Tony Chennault Leaving Villanova

Tony Chennault

6'2 point guard Tony Chennault will transfer away from Villanova after playing just one season with the Wildcats. Chennault, a junior this past season, will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Last year Chennault was granted a hardship waiver to transfer away from Wake Forrest and play immediately for Villanova, near his home in Philadelphia, due to a family illness. Chennault provided a spark off of the bench for the Wildcats this season on their way to an unexpected NCAA tournament appearance. As backup to Philly Big Five Rookie of the Year Ryan Arcidiacono, Chennault's playing time next year as a senior at Villanova would have remained limited.
