2016 power forward Sacha Killeya-Jones commits to Virginia

Class of 2016 power forward Sacha Killeya-Jones has committed to the University of Virginia to play for head coach Tony Bennett. Killeya-Jones, 6'10", 207, is rated four stars by 247sports and Scout and three stars by Rivals. He held offers from other major programs such as Georgetown, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest.

Virginia head coach Tony Bennett has the Cavaliers on a roll this season heading into the New Year. The Cavs are currently undefeated and a top five team in the country, and the good news doesn't stop there. Picking up a commitment from Sacha Killeya-Jones bolsters an already strong 2016 recruiting class that now holds two four star recruits (Killeya-Jones and shooting guard Kyle Guy) and one three star recruit (point guard Ty Jerome). Killeya-Jones possesses a strong inside-out game offensively. He's shown flashes of excellent footwork and finesse moves with his back to the basket, and he is every bit as comfortable stepping out and knocking down a seventeen-foot jumper. He has excellent touch on shots both around the rim and from range for a player his size. Defensively, he has the ability to protect the rim and block shots with regularity, although adding some muscle to his frame would help in that regard. A college strength and nutrition program will do him a great deal of good, as it will enable him to further impact the game with his imposing size on both ends of the floor. Killeya-Jones is a high upside recruit, which is precisesly what makes him so attractive.
