UPDATE:

6'0" 170lbs wide receiver Theo Howard from Thousand Oaks, California gave a verbal commitment to the University of Oregon on Sunday, March 15. The four-star WR is the fifth recruit from the class of 2016 to commit to the Ducks and he adds more talent to a potential top 25 recruiting class. Howard chose Oregon over offers from Arizona, California, Kansas, and Maryland. The news broke via Howard's Twitter and 247sports.com.

ANALYSIS:

Howard is a smaller wide receiver who gains separation with his superior speed and athleticism. His body type and skillset will fit well into Oregon's high tempo spread offense. He has the ability to make defenders miss in space and has world class speed in the open field. Another year to further develop in the weight room will help Howard become an even bigger threat downfield for the Ducks come 2016. His early commitment should excite Oregon coaches and fans as they have added another speedy playmaker to the Ducks 2016 class.
