Kentucky, Calapari on hand to watch Top 5 Cliff Alexander

Kentucky head coach John Calapari took a visit to L.A. tonight to watch Curie High School (IL) big man Cliff Alexander (2014).

Alexander stands 6’9” 240lbs and is a top 5 overall prospect in the class of 2014. He is known as a rim protector and an elite shot blocker and one of the best defensive prospects to emerge from Chicago in recent years. He is coached by Derrick Rose’s older brother Reggie Rose on the AAU circuit. Although Tom Izzo and Michigan State have been recruiting Alexander the hardest, Reggie Rose thinks Kentucky would be a better fit for Alexander than Michigan State and called Kentucky one of Alexander’s dream schools this past summer.
